Drop Studio now connects directly to Claude and ChatGPT. One URL, no API key, no terminal — you approve it in your browser and then just ask for what you want.
"Make me a vintage mountain range design that says SUNRISE TO SUMMIT, then put it on a Comfort Colors 1717 in Pepper worn by a woman in her 40s on a mountain trail."
That one sentence produces a design, a blank mockup, and the finished mockup with the design printed on it — all saved to your library.
This is included on Pro and Pro Max.
Why we built it
Most of the time in print-on-demand isn't spent making one thing. It's spent making the same thing forty times: eight colorways, five designs, a set for every drop. The studio is good at making one great mockup. It was never going to be good at making forty.
Asking for forty is a sentence. So now you can.
How to connect
Claude and Claude Desktop
- Open Settings → Connectors
- Click Add custom connector
- Paste this URL:

- Leave the OAuth Client ID and Secret fields blank — they're not needed
- Click Add
Drop Studio will ask you to sign in and approve the connection. Approve it, and you're back in Claude with everything available.
To use it in a conversation, click the + button and enable Drop Studio under Connectors.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Connectors
- Turn on developer mode
- Add the same URL:

You'll go through the same browser approval, then Drop Studio is available in your conversations.

Start a new session and run /mcp to confirm it's connected. It'll walk you through the same browser approval the first time.
Your own scripts
If you're writing code, or using a tool that doesn't support connectors, use an API key instead. Create one under API Keys in your account settings, put it in your project's .env:
DROPSTUDIO_API_KEY=ds_live_...
Then tell your assistant, once:
"My Drop Studio API key is in .env as DROPSTUDIO_API_KEY. Read the API docs at https://dropstudio.io/api/v1/docs and use them to create designs and mockups for me."
That URL is the whole manual — every garment, every colorway, every option the studio has.
What it can do
Everything the studio does, with the same credits and the same prices. No surcharge.
- Create designs from a description, in any of the ten styles
- Create mockups on any of 32 blanks in over 1,000 real colorways, with full control of the model, setting, lighting, and framing
- Print a design on a mockup, using the same placement engine as the studio
- Upscale to print resolution and download a 300 DPI file ready for Printful or Printify
- Pull anything from your library into whatever you're working on
Anything it creates lands in your normal library. The connector and the website are the same account, the same credits, and the same designs — two doors into one place.
The part that changes how you work
Every mockup now saves a reusable blank: the garment shot with no design on it.
That matters more than it sounds. Point a new request at a saved blank and each additional design costs 1 credit instead of 2, because it skips re-rendering the garment. More importantly, every mockup in the set shows the same person, in the same place, in the same shirt.
Generate the blank once, then run your whole catalog through it. That's a consistent product line instead of ten photos of ten different models — something the studio couldn't do at any price.
About print files
One thing worth knowing, because it trips people up on every platform: a design that looks perfect on screen is usually too small to print.
Designs are generated at 1024 pixels. At 300 DPI that's about 3.4 inches — fine for a preview, far too small for a 12-inch front print. Printful and Printify calculate resolution from pixel count, not the file's metadata, so they'll reject it or print it soft.
Upscaling fixes it, and Claude knows to do it. Ask for a print-ready file and you get 4800 pixels at a true 300 DPI, which is 16 inches of print area.
Your account stays yours
- You sign in on Drop Studio's own page. Claude never sees your password.
- It can create designs and mockups and spend credits when you ask. It cannot change your password, billing, or plan.
- Disconnect at any time from your account settings, and its access stops immediately.
- API keys, if you use one, are shown once and stored only as a hash. We can't see your key, and neither can anyone who gets into our database.
- Every response tells your assistant how many credits you have left, so it can warn you before a batch runs out.
- Failed generations are never charged.
What's next
Batch requests. Right now a set of ten runs as ten requests. It works, but there's a cleaner way to say "this design, these eight colorways" in one go.
A spot in the connector directory, so you can find Drop Studio in Claude's built-in list instead of pasting a URL.
